As per reports, IPOs this year witnessed a major milestone with <strong>anchor investments<\/strong> exceeding \u20b9 45650 crore this year. <strong>Anchor investors<\/strong>, which includes foreign institutional investors, and mutual funds in this scenario, cumulatively invested such a huge amount in the new Indian equities. This year\u2019s <strong>anchor investment<\/strong> even surpassed the previous record of 2021 when it stood at \u20b9 42558 crore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-anchor-investments-data\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Anchor_Investments_Data\"><\/span><strong>Anchor Investments Data<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FII anchor investors<\/strong> invested \u20b9 25300 crore out of the total \u20b9 45651 crore while Mutual funds invested \u20b9 20351 crore. In 2021, the FIIs investing in anchors were around \u20b9 29000 crore, a bit higher than this year\u2019s figure, however, MFs invested \u20b9 13528 crore in 2021 in IPO anchors, which made the total of 2021 stood at \u20b9 42558 crore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you look at the <strong>mutual fund investment<\/strong> and FII contribution in the IPO anchor investments, then it has grown thrice this year compared to last year. However, in the past two years, mutual funds contributed more to <strong>IPO anchor investments<\/strong> compared to FPI\/FIIs.
