It is said that the front room of his home was turned into an Infosys office in Pune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, it operates in 56 countries, guiding clients with innovative solutions and unmatched expertise. With an astonishing US$18.8 billion in revenue, it\u2019s clear that Infosys doesn\u2019t just follow trends\u2014it sets them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It all began in a small office in Pune, India, back in 1981. Infosys was founded by N. R. Narayana Murthy and six engineers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their first client?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A company named Data Basics Corporation in New York.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By 1983<\/strong>, the company relocated its corporate headquarters to Bangalore. Just a few years later,<strong> in 1987,<\/strong> Infosys opened its very first international office in Boston, USA. Things were moving fast, but this was just the beginning of an incredible journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In 1993<\/strong>, Infosys took a major step forward with its IPO, going public for the first time. It wasn&#8217;t just about raising capital\u2014it was a signal that they were ready to make a mark on the global stage.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>By 1996<\/strong>, the company also launched the Infosys Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In 1997<\/strong> saw, Infosys expand internationally with an office in Toronto, Canada, and the company\u2019s IT services began to gain recognition. The next year, <strong>1998<\/strong>, Infosys started its Enterprise Solutions practice, showing its versatility beyond just software development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then came <strong>1999<\/strong>, a milestone year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Infosys revenue touched $100 million. It was listed on NASDAQ and became the 21st company in the world to achieve a CMM Level 5 certification.
