The current <strong>market capitalization<\/strong> of the listed companies in the country aggregates to $5.33 trillion.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-highest-growth-amongst-top-10-equity-markets-nbsp\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Highest_Growth_amongst_Top_10_Equity_Markets\"><\/span>Highest Growth amongst Top 10 Equity Markets&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This $1 trillion increase accounts for a 21% surge in <strong>India&#8217;s market cap, <\/strong>which is the highest amongst the top ten <strong>equity markets<\/strong> across the globe. The BSE <strong>Sensex and Nifty<\/strong> 50 witnessed around 12.5% and 13.5%, respectively, rally upward since March 2025. The broader market indices, such as <strong>BSE MidCap<\/strong> and <strong>BSE SmallCap,<\/strong> jumped around 20.7% and 26% respectively during the period.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, this rally again pushed the valuations of Indian equities further, and analysts are thus downgrading their earnings estimates for the Indian equities again. Nifty 50 EPS estimates for the financial year 2025 witnessed a drop of 0.3% during April 2025. The estimates for FY26 and FY27 have been downgraded significantly by 1.1% and 1%, respectively.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-increased-valuations-across-sectors\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Increased_Valuations_Across_Sectors\"><\/span>Increased Valuations Across Sectors<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sectors that have higher valuations include \u2013&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Consumption<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information Technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investments,\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These sectors\u2019 valuations even surpassed pre-pandemic levels, but the earnings are not at par with these valuations.
