The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has announced that no contracts with new expiry will be issued for these eight stocks beginning from August 2025. So, which are these stocks, and why are they being removed from the <strong>NSE F&amp;O segment<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-eight-stocks-removed-from-nse-f-amp-o\">Eight Stocks Removed from NSE F&amp;O<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The stocks which are removed from the <strong>derivative segment<\/strong> are as follows \u2013&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adani Total Gas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Granules India<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CESC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IRB Infrastructure Developers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poonawalla Fincorp<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jindal Stainless<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SJVN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apart from Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail and Granules India, six other stocks were added to the <strong>NSE F&amp;O segment <\/strong>recently<strong> <\/strong>on 29 November, 2024. As per analysts, these stocks were added to enhance trading volumes and price discovery. They were added only after these stocks achieved a higher size threshold and higher liquidity.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How will it work?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This <strong>NSE stock list update<\/strong> will be applicable to new contracts from August. Currently, the derivatives contracts trading for these stocks are valid. The contracts that are available in the market with expiry up to August 2025 will remain so until they expire. They will also get new strikes during the existing contract months.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Precisely, these stocks\u2019 current contracts will end on 29 August 2025, and then these stocks will not be available in the derivative segment at all.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In May, there were delistings and the <strong>NSE F&amp;O series stocks delisted<\/strong> were \u2013&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aarti Industries\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Birlasoft<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hindustan Copper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mahanagar Gas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Piramal Enterprises<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This will also be effective from 1 August 2025.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, during March, another batch of stocks was removed from the derivative segment, which has been effective since 27 May 2025. The stocks removed during this <strong>NSE F&amp;O segment changes<\/strong> are\u2013&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Apollo Tyres<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Escorts Kutoba<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Ramco Cements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MRF<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deepak Nitrite\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NSE\u2019s Net Profit\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During FY25, the NSE witnessed a 47% jump on a YoY basis in its net profit at \u20b912188 crore. However, for the Q4FY25, the stock exchange\u2019s net profit stood at \u20b92650 crore, down by 31% from \u20b93834 crore in Q3FY25.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now it will be interesting to see how these <strong>NSE derivatives exclusions<\/strong> shape the exchange and how they impact its profits and other financials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
