Order Type Codes

Values for the price_type field, controlling how an order is priced and triggered.

Overview

The price_type field appears in Place Order and Modify Order payloads. It determines whether an order rests at a fixed price, follows the market, or waits for a trigger.

Codes

Code	Order Type	Description
`LMT`	Limit	Order rests at the specified `prc` or better. Requires `prc`.
`MKT`	Market	Executes immediately at the best available price. `prc` is ignored.
`SL-LMT`	Stop Loss Limit	Converts to a limit order at `prc` once the market touches `trgprc`. Requires both `prc` and `trgprc`.
`SL-MKT`	Stop Loss Market	Converts to a market order once the market touches `trgprc`. Requires `trgprc`; `prc` is ignored.
